Our focus is on acquiring real estate with legacy environmental and contingent liabilities from multinational corporations.
Flacks Group specializes in investing in real estate assets that are underperforming or operationally challenged, as well as in financial companies undergoing complex transitions.
We also acquire companies burdened with legacy liabilities, such as asbestos, environmental issues, or legal challenges.
We help these companies de-risk their balance sheets.
Additionally, we acquire entire companies in special M&A situations.
We are also actively seeking entities with unfavorable insurance situations that they wish to dispose of. This includes third-party transfers of liability risk as well as operational risk.
A typical situation involves a carve-out, spin-off, or divestiture of a non-core/underperforming division from a sizable multinational parent company, where the process is either broken or stalled.
Our preferred sectors include, but are not limited to, chemicals, mining, oil and gas, coal, heavy manufacturing, petroleum refining, pipelines, power generation, and distribution.
